The People Behind the Work
As the co-founders, creative visionaries, and husband-and-wife duo behind KimFilms, Alex and Marina lead a tight-knit team to create timeless, stylish wedding films for modern couples, prioritizing a luxury experience through a personalized approach.
Alex’s path began early with dance, music, and a camera. As a teenager he battled leukemia, a defining season that sharpened his gratitude and drive. Despite a Bachelor’s in Economics, he returned to storytelling, moved to Los Angeles, and said yes to every opportunity from events to weddings, refining a cinematic, emotive, and intentional style. Marina entered the film world during her PR degree, first as a hairstylist, then in casting and production. After meeting Alex, her passion reignited and she shaped our studio around a calmer, more curated client experience.
Together, they turned a shared passion into a family business. Alex crafts honest, elegant imagery and films behind the lens, while Marina orchestrates a seamless journey from first hello to final delivery. The result is artful storytelling and a stress-free experience that feels true to who you are.

While Alex and Marina remain your main point of contact and creative guide throughout the journey, our team works seamlessly behind the scenes to ensure everything flows effortlessly on the wedding day. From Marina’s focus on creating a calm, personal, white-glove experience, to our team’s dedication to capturing every meaningful detail and unforgettable moment, to Alex’s signature editing touch that brings it all together - every film is crafted with the same heart and intention, no matter the collection.

I've lived in Uzbekistan, Korea, Russia, and the US.
I started my career in banking, then moved into IT at Google. Today, I’ve found my place working full-time in weddings, combining creativity, storytelling, and human connection.
I love cars, racing, active sports, being a girl's dad, and my morning cup of coffee.
I am a founder of OPB Trading Academy, where I offer one on one mentorship for my students.
ABOUT ALEX
I was born in Ukraine and speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
I worked in Medical Aesthetics for 13 years and have a Bachelor Degree in PR and Masters in Healthcare Administration.
I am obsessed with home editing and organizing. If not for weddings, I would totally make a career out of it!
ABOUT MARINA
Family is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud parents to our 3-year-old daughter, Naeomi - the light of our lives - and finding a healthy work-life balance is non-negotiable.
Because weddings often happen on weekends and many shoots fall mid-week, we protect our office hours so we can be fully present at home: cooking regular family dinners, getting outside for activities, and cheering her on at dance class. Some of our favorite moments are the simple ones - arts and crafts on the kitchen table, painting together, and soaking up this season as a family.
OUR FAMILY
In our free time, we’re all about making memories together.
We love to travel and try new experiences, from hidden local gems to bucket-list adventures. Music is a big part of our life too - EDC, music festivals, and especially drum'n'bass keep us inspired and energized.
When we’re home, you’ll usually find us hosting friends for board game nights, good food, and lots of laughter.

We’ve attended Wedding MBA for 7 years in a row to expand our expertise, stay on trend, and better serve our clients.
We also invest in hands-on learning through workshops from industry leaders like Runaway Vows, Emma K, and Alexand Ma - always seeking fresh ideas to elevate the experience we deliver.
