KimFilms Weddings is sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done.

This also applies to the Drone Footage that is complementary included in all our collections. There are some drone laws that apply to every state in the U.S., including California, and were created by the federal government, that we must follow.

Federal rules forbid operating a drone within 5 miles (8 kilometers) of most airports or above 400 feet (120 meters). We would not be able to take off the drone at your hotel or venue if there is a close by airport or… Guess what? A Disneyland or any other amusement park.

Can I choose the song for my wedding video?

Generally we advice against choosing your own music. Why? Most of the times couples have “their” song or a song that is sentimental and meaningful to them. Even though, that audio recording is beautiful, it might not necessarily go with your wedding video. Music selection is one of the most important steps in post production. We use royalty free music for our edits and work it up with a pretty complex sound design that includes audio recordings from your wedding day and additional sounds. Our choice of music is greatly influenced by our professional judgment, artistic style and, of course, your final video questionnaire, where you determine what style of edit you would like for your video.

We do not edit to popular music. The popular music is copyrighted and to be able to use it without committing a copyright violation which could subject you to statutory damages of up to $150,000.00 plus attorney’s fees, you would need to get permission from the copyright owner or a licensing agency that has the right to license your use.

Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission, clearance permits, etc., which may be required for KimFilmsWeddings each event, public or private.

It applies for Engagement Photo Shoots, Love Story Videos and the locations of the Wedding Day itself.

Any additional cost of shooting location (like studio) must be covered by the client.

How much is the travel fee to your Location?

We love to travel, and would love to go wherever your adventure takes you. No distance is too far! Travel fees are based on your Package selection, as it depends on how many team members are coming to your Wedding as well as how far are we going.

Please make sure to discuss Travel Fees if your Wedding is outside of Irvine, CA (over 45 miles).

How much is Booking Fee and How to Reserve the Date?

TO BOOK:
30% non-refundable Booking Fee is required to secure the date. After the contract is signed and the fee is paid - the date is officially booked.

PRICING:
KimFilms Weddings offers dynamic pricing that is based on your date selection. KimFilms Weddings cannot lock-in any Proposal Pricing if no reservation was officially made. Our pricing is subject to change throughout the year based on our availability and demand.
Please note, starting price listed at the website is not applicable for weekend weddings and next year dates.

FULL STORY FILM

A 20 to 30 minutes documentary style film about your wedding day. They usually cover getting ready, longer (or sometimes full) ceremony, traditions, as well as toasts and speeches from the reception. Full Story Film always requires two videographers, so you can get those nice multi camera angles of the same action, as well as reaction shots of your guests.

HIGHLIGHT VIDEO

A 3-5 min highlight of your wedding day. You'll have full flexibility in choosing the cinema style and sound design depending on what you feel best reflects your dynamic (cinematic, dramatic, romantic, upbeat, vows voice over, etc.)

TRAILER

The first video you get while anticipating your full films. It's a short and sweet recap of your Big Day, perfect to share with your friends on the internet and rewatch it over and over again!

ADD-ON: FULL TOASTS & SPEECHES CUT

A perfect addition if your package includes only the Highlight Video or if you are planning on having A LOT of toasts and speeches during your wedding reception. For the Full Story Film toasts and speeches are already included in your edit, however, they might not be in full.

ADD-ON: FULL CEREMONY VIDEO CUT

A cut of your full ceremony exactly as it was, including the entrance to and the exit. It is a common add-on for religious church ceremonies and cultural tradition ceremonies. Please request the photo/video rules from your Church ahead of time if applicable.

ADD-ON: LOVE STORY VIDEO SHOOT

A wonderful way to share a closer look into your love story. This also let's us get to know each other better before your big day! We can shoot behind the scenes of your engagement pictures, go to you first date spot, or we can brainstorm a location together! A Love Story Video can be a unique feature added to your Wedding Day Video or used as a Save The Date message.

Getting true Raw video footage is not an option. 
We shoot on professional cameras in order to get the best possible quality that would give us a lot of room in post production for color grading, special effects and transitions. Most likely your computer won't be able to play the RAW files and even if it will, it will be choppy, laggy and you will be eventually wasting your time. It is also not synced with the audio, as we use professional sound recording devices separately in order to achieve the best quality.
 
However, you can get a Cleaned Raw film. In this process we will clean all footage from the wedding day, put it in one sequence from all cameras and add some color grading. In the postproduction it will be formatted into a file that you can open on your computer or connect to TV. It will be one long file of the entire day (depending on the hours of coverage, on average it is up to 2 hours long, but the length can vary from wedding to wedding), so you can sit down and watch it all at once with your family.
